Spring Cycling Camp

Join us on the first weekend of April in the beautiful and very amazing Black Forest region of North Central Pennsylvania for a fun and challenging weekend of road cycling. Our focus for this long weekend outing will be on climbing: On technique, form, cadence, and endurance. We will ride on a varied selection of asphalt topped backroads in and around the Slate Run -Hyner Run areas. Some climbs are short and extremely steep, while others are low angle and run up into

the mountains for 30-40 minutes in duration. Each of the three days we will focus on one particular region and its selection of climbing opportunities.  Some rides will focus on one particular climb which we will use for a climbing rep workout as we do at the Outdoor Excel In Cycling workouts. On other rides we will simply be doing loop rides that include several different climbs of various inclinations and lengths. On each of the three days you will have the opportunity to ride anywhere from 40-90 miles (this determined by your desire to ride long or short, and by your fitness level). We will have a sag wagon available on each and every ride that will contain food, water and Gatorade

LODGING - We will have room for five participants in a cabin at Slate Run. Cabin lodging is on a first come first serve basis. The remainder of the lodging is at the Hotel Manor  www.hotel-manor.com which is located just a block from the cabin. The hotel has 10 rooms which are singles with queen beds.

FOOD - We'll have access to the wonderful Hotel Manor Restaurant for several of our dinners, and you'll have a general store next door if you need any additional snacks, sandwiches and soft drinks.
